The State Bank of India has revised the total number of vacancies from 3100 to 8500 and modified the clerical recruitment advertisement dated 27 December 2011. Besides this, this public sector bank has also postponed the date of examination and has added 1000 Stenographer vacancies in both English and Hindi. The newly appointed Assistants/ Stenographers will be on probation for a period of 6 months.
Modifications done by State Bank of India
· Against the earlier notified 3100 vacancies, the number of vacancies for Clerical Recruitment had been increased to 9500 (8500 Assistant, 900 English Stenographers, and 100 Hindi Stenographers)
· The last date for online submission of application has been extended to 25 March 2012
· The date of examination stands postponed from 18 March 2012 to 27 May 2012 and 3 June 2012
· Candidates who had already applied for the post of Assistant and wish to apply for the post of Stenographer English or Hindi need to pay additional fee of Rs 150 and should pay Rs 300 if they wish to apply for Stenographer (English and Hindi)
Guidelines for Candidates who have registered between 28 December 2011 and 20 January 2012
· Candidates who have applied between 28 December 2011 and 20 January 2012 will have one time opportunity to edit their choice of STATE and EXAMINATION CENTRE due to the revised vacancy position.
· SC/ST candidates have the option to change their choice of Pre-Exam Training Centre.
· Candidates can additionally apply for the post of Stenographer (English/ Hindi), if they have the knowledge of Stenography.
· Candidates who had failed to furnish their Ex-Servicemen & PWD status can do the same if not indicated earlier.
